The Exhilaration Of Opening A Dollar Store
There is nothing more exhilarating than opening a dollar store. There are so many things to do, and there never seems to be enough time to get them all done. Yet somehow, everything does get done; and everything is done on time. Going through the process of preparing to open and then actually holding your first grand opening is something you'll never forget. It lives with you for a lifetime. But as you reminisce, you can't help but remember everything that went into making the opening of your business a success.
Once the decision about opening a dollar store was made, you begin to look for just the right location. It can't be just any location. There are important considerations about parking lot entrance and egress. Then there are concerns about signage, and so much more.
Once you found and signed the paperwork on the right location, concerns moved on to store equipment and display fixtures. Of course you had to determine exactly how the store layout would work before those questions could be answered.
Then you started looking and looking for merchandise to sell. It had to be the right items for your customers. And it had to be available and in your store in time for the grand opening event. But you couldn't start putting merchandise onto the display floor until all of the store fixtures actually arrived and were assembled.
Putting all of the inventory in just the right location took lots of hard work. Fortunately family and friends were willing to lend you a helping hand. After a few hard days and long nights everything was ready. All that you needed was the grand opening day to arrive.
And then you really were opening a dollar store. The grand opening event went off without a hitch. Lots of prospective shoppers saw your ads and the signage at the corner of the parking lot. Those shoppers became customers that day. There was fun, and more sales than you could have imagined possible.
Throughout that time you were continually worrying that you may have forgotten something and you weren't really going to be ready for opening a dollar store as planned. It seemed like the date for your grand opening event was charging toward you at such a fast pace. There was so much to get done. You worried whether everything was going to be completed. You worried that you had made a bad decision about the location, or the merchandise, or both. So what did you really need to worry about? The answer is ' nothing. Everything went well.
